Browser Compatibility

When we design web sites we ensure that these are developed and tested on a variety of browsers so that you know 99% of your visitors can view your web site as intended, if you do not choose Net Visuals to work for you, you should ensure that your design company develops for more than just Internet Explorer.

We test our web sites on Internet Explorer 6 and above, Mozilla Firefox, Netscape Navigator, Opera 9 and above and screen readers to ensure the widest compatibility range possible. There are other browsers but most use the same kernel as Mozill or Netscape.

There may be occasions that the layout may differ between IE and Mozilla but this is very very rare and occurs for many different reasons, but 99% of our sites are cross compatible.

Excellent usability is essential for a web site to be consistently successful, that is why Net Visuals does not implement overly complicated web page layouts and unnecessary expanding menus and on the whole search facilities.

It is important for a user to find most of what they are looking for within a maximum of 4 clicks from entering the website, this encourages the user to stay longer, spend longer on the pages that they visit, are more likely to spend money with you and certainly more likely to tell someone else about your web site and how good it is.

While we are flexible in both client side and server side programming and scripting, we always try to give the customer what they need, and what will do the job in the best way rather than use fancy unnecessary tricks and scripting, the advantages are of course more familiar navigation methods for customers and web users, and with modern browsers it is easy to block client side scripting and other non standard XHTML technologies. This also helps with keeping your web site compatible on all browsers and assists better search engine positioning.
