The hosting is also secure which means that directory browsing is disabled so that anonymous clients cannot see what files are in which directory.

Windows Servers

Net Visuals uses high powered Windows hosting using IIS with both ASP and ASP.NET available at extra cost.

Both CGI and PHP4 are available free of charge with each hosting account, and there is unlimited storage (although this is moderated).

We recommend Windows IIS hosting to all our clients and use this as default.

Linux Servers

We also have hosting available on Linux servers, although a surcharge applies if you were to use Linux for your hosting

ASP

ASP or Active Server Pages as they are called are a server-side scripting technology developed by Microsoft for developing dynamic web pages and using databases. If you currently have a website using ASP with an unreliable host and you would like to host it with a reliable host then it is possible to transfer your site to Net Visuals.*

ASP.NET

ASP.NET is available for the sites that require the Microsoft .NET Framework which in some circumstances offers more functionality than other programming frameworks and compilers.

PHP

PHP is a very popular server-side programming language able to deliver dynamic content via dynamic in line code, or through database access and storage. PHP works with both MYSQL and SQL Databases (both available) and PHP framework is available free included with our standard hosting accounts.

CGI

Common Gateway Interface, which is a somewhat old technology is still used today by ecommerce retail applications and by many 'old school' coders. Whilst the technology has been safely superceded by other server-side programming technologies, CGI is still available for free with all our standard Windows hosting accounts.

Email

All of the web hosting accounts come with unlimited POP email boxes, with the availability of additional services such as advanced larger email boxes, webmail, Exchange mailboxes and other customer focused services such as autoresponders and more.

We can completely manage your account for you leaving you free to achieve more while we efficiently respond to your needs and requests saving you time and money.

SSL

If you have an ecommerce website or a page that transfers personal data we can provide certificated Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) additionally to the standard hosting account to enable you to process credit card details through a secure layer, the normal https and padlock are all noticeable though the use of this technology.

Media Streaming

You can also purchase additional services such as Media Streaming so you can transmit audio and video to your customers should your needs require reducing the load on concurrent bandwith use at that time.
